Godeval, Godello Cepas Vellas 2022

With a winery partly housed in the Monastery de Xagoaza (which features on the label) in Valderorras, northern Spain, the winemakers of Godeval hold an almost spiritual belief in producing exceptional Godello; a grape variety which would have gone extinct in the 1970s had it not been for wineries like Godeval who pioneered its revival. Godello Cepas Vellas 2022 is the estate's premium wine; made from 100% organically farmed Godello from the best plots of their oldest vineyards, which imparts incredible depth and complexity into the wine. Expect aromas of white flowers, citrus and stone fruits, followed by a generous palate, thanks to the grapes spending 5 months on lees, with great minerality and a long finish. An amazing pair with creamy mushroom or seafood based dishes.
